Going To School For The Right Reason

School is a big decision and requires help and advice. But if you are going to school just to please someone else, you may not succeed unless you are determined and motivated. In which case that is a good thing that person or persons inspired you to take a step towards your future. But if you are going for someone else and are not prepared, you could badly effect your gpa and future plans of going to school. Now if you are going cause you want to, your chances of finishing are greater. Because you are interested and motivated about the task.

College can determine your future career and plans. Going on your own time and being prepared shows readiness on ones behalf. People should wait to go to college until they get things out of their system and are ready to take it seriously. Another reason to wait on going would be due to personal issues. Such as physical, mental, or emotional issues, money problems, etc.

Preparing For Class

Being prepared for class is vital in obtaining a good grade and all around being successful in college. There are many ways to be prepared for: knowing criteria for each upcoming class, do the designated assingments and readings for class, be prepared mentally and physically, choose a proper seat, come prepared with book and utensils, have good posture, keep your health prestine, and stay focused. By doing all of this with all your might you should have a great chance of setting yourself up for acedemic success.





When ever coming to class you should always be formilure with your syllabus and what is expected of you each class. This will not only prevent you from getting a bad participation grade, but to help you stay ahead of class. And always being prepared for each day. If this is not practiced it would be very easy to fall behind inclass. Maybe to a point when you are unable to get up.





Readind all designated assingments for class is also very vital. When doing these assignments always make sure you take good notes, whether it be using sticky notes, marking up your book, or even writing them down on notebook paper. By doing this you can get involved in class participation wise. By knowing your information you can listen to other peoples veiws and compare to what you have learned. Maybe adding to your knowledge.





Make sure to be prepared physically. Most professors require attendence, but yet some don't. Even if not required, make it a habit to yourself to attend class. Inorder to obtain the most knowledge that you can. Which will ultimately get you the best grade you can recieve. Most students that miss many classes assume it's ok, but realize it is to their demise.





Coming to class prepared metally is vital. If you are going through stressful times or mental illness, do your best to gather your thoughts and prepare to the best of your ability. Everybody has issues that they go through. Even though certain individuals feel thay are the only one, which is not the case. Learning to deal with stress or whatever issues clog up your brain is key to maintaining a pieceful life as well as a successful college career.





Choosing a seat wisely in class could make or break your grade by means of concentration. By sitting in the back you could lose train of thought easily and at that point not understand the teacher properly by losing focus. Sitting in front means that you are in full eye contact of the teacher. Much more able to focus on the lecture and get the most out of class as possible. By sitting in the front there is no destractions. Just you and the teacher.





Being prepared for class material wise is key. You can do this by bringing you writing utensils, books , notebook, etc. By forgetting these things you could miss out on important notes and assignments. Which in turn could put you further behind inclass. Making this effort is vital to college success. By not doing this could hinder future homework and could also effect your participation grade if the instructor calls on you and you are illprepared.


You pay good money for an education. Why would you want to do anything to hinder the outcome of your success? Being in college is a decision that effects the future of your adulthood, which means you need to grow out of your adolescent ways. Instructors are not there to babysit. So, be prepared in and out of class to further your chances to inhance your life and eventually obtain a degree that could lead into your future career job. College is a brief two to five years, maybe a little longer depending your major. Compared to the rest of your life, those few years of schooling is nothing.
